Oh yea! Herzog also ate his shoe…
It’s a bit weird/funny how certain things follow you. For example, there’s really no reason why Werner Herzog and his films would pop up in my life within a short span of time but they are. Sometimes I wonder why I’m being shown the same particular specific things over and over. I know i just wrote about Werner Herzog on this blog but…OH WELL!
My friend Chuck showed me a relatively new issue of Vice that he had brought to our studio. While flipping through it I found an excerpt from a new book by Werner Herzog. The book is basically just the journals he kept while making the film Fitzcarraldo. After learning about this book I decided to pick it up MYSELF!

Fitzcarraldo has been a source of inspiration for me since I’ve seen it. The film called for pulling a 320 ton steamship over a massive steep hill, so Herzog did it. Because of acts like this, I find it hard to say I “can’t”, I “don’t have the time”, I “this” or I “that”. It’s easy to come up with excuses but when examples of heroic feats like this are in your mind it just sort of seems wrong. Some artists have a dream and they will stop at nothing to make that dream a reality, Herzog is definitely one of those artists.

The bumps along my road just sort of seem to pale in comparison…

Back from vacay, work continues. Stay tuned for new shit coming up. We got five new tees poppin out the womb just for you kiddies. Ill probably post up some previews here and there as the time comes.
