Hey ladies and germs, I’d like to introduce myself, I’ll be writing under Black Hearts Social Club on Only Ones Need Apply. Rob, who I’m sure you’re all familiar with, asked me to share some of my thoughts on his blog after looking at my original site http://blackheartsclub.tumblr.com/ We have a lot of similar interests and always have a good time when we hang out. The difference about my contributions here as opposed to my original site is that my posts here are going to be all killer, no filler. My current site is really an amalgamation of whatever I feel like, whether it just be a full post, photo or quote. What I do here for OO will have more direction, hence the slight name change. I’ll be focusing more on specific things that invoke what I like to call, old school cool. Old school cool is some term I’d like to pretend I came up with to describe that unique vibe that anything over 30 years has, whether it be cars, style, art, lifestyle, etc. If you happen to see me lurking around on the street, you’ll think I resemble a reject extra from the movie The Outsiders. I have a love for all things retro, vintage, and old. I think rob sees me as a unique individual who does what I like and what I think is cool, regardless of current trends and public opinion. This, in my mind, is what Only Ones is about, being yourself in whatever form that is. My form just happens to be stuck in the 50′s. So to all the kings and queens out there, slide into your tight jeans, find your canvas shoes, throw on your favorite (cleanest) Only Ones shirt, slick back your hair and take the ride.
