Speaking of slicking back that hair…

I occasionally get the question, “what kind of hair style is that?” and I respond, “a pompadour” It was very popular in the 50′s and pretty much anyone, who was anyone had a pompadour. Of course there are a ton of varieties but you’ll know one when you see it. Elvis, Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, James Dean, Conan O’Brien, and many more rocked the pomp to great effect.

So now I’m sure you’re clamoring, “Where can I get my hair cut like that?” Well kids, it’s a little harder than you’d think but fortunately for you, I have a solution. Tomcat’s Barbershop located on 130 India St., Brooklyn NY is where I go to get my ears lowered. I found this place a few years ago after several hit and misses at various barbershops. It’s sad to say but most places don’t know what you want. Some only know short and shorter, and others only understand you if you say “blow out”. Not on my watch.
